Former U.S. Energy Secretary and U.S. Senator Spencer Abraham Joins Altergy Board of Advisors

FOLSOM, California – March 11, 2008 – Altergy Systems today enthusiastically welcomed former U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary and U.S. Senator Spencer Abraham to the Company’s Board of Advisors. Secretary Abraham is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Abraham Group LLC, an international strategic consulting and business development firm based in Washington, D.C.  The Abraham Group is a leader in catalyzing transactional collaborations in the energy and cleantech sectors throughout the world.  

Secretary Abraham will help Altergy identify new commercial opportunities for Altergy’s Freedom Power™ fuel cell systems and provide key introductions to potential customers and strategic partners in Latin and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, China and other Asian countries. During his tenure as head of DOE, Secretary Abraham successfully launched several important domestic and international energy and cleantech initiatives. He is widely recognized as an experienced, steady leader able to find common ground and build strong collaborations among nations and individuals with diverse interests.
