Altergy Fuel Cell System Provides Power for Cal/EPA Solar Array Center

SACRAMENTO, California – Earth Day, April 22, 2005 – An Altergy Freedom Power™ system powered the monitoring and control system for the California Environmental Protection Agency’s (Cal/EPA’s) Solar Array Center today.

The Solar Array Input/Output Control Center is responsible for collecting and managing solar power for the Cal/EPA headquarters building in Sacramento. Cal/EPA staff paired the Control Center with Altergy’s innovative fuel cell technology to demonstrate the benefits of alternative energy as part of Cal/EPA’s Earth Day celebration.

The Altergy Freedom Power system used today is one of a family of fuel cell systems offered by Altergy.
