Altergy’s Fuel Cell Systems Supply Eco-Friendly Power at All Four Major Hollywood Awards Ceremonies

FOLSOM, California – March 3, 2011 – Altergy Systems announced today that it’s Freedom Power™ hydrogen fuel cell systems have now supplied “zero emission” power needs for eco-friendly lighting and various other power demands at all four major Hollywood Awards Ceremonies – The Golden Globes®, The SAG Awards, The Grammies®, and the Academy Awards®.

Altergy’s Freedom Power™ fuel cells were used in the ceremonies for various power demands including lighting the red carpet, set-up and tear-down illumination, and even providing auxiliary power for various independent power applications.

Benn Fleishman, Executive In Charge of Production of the SAG Awards, was extremely impressed with the eco- friendly lighting tower:  "We had a situation where we needed lighting for the red carpet area ... and it’s a huge red carpet area!  This one tower did the whole thing --  it's an amazing light! "

Saunders Electric provides the lighting and power to all four of the Hollywood awards ceremonies and for numerous motion picture productions, as well. Their CEO, Russell Saunders. says  "We've used the lighting system on all the major shows now. They were absolutely ecstatic with it. It’s performed flawlessly - - it's been a flawless system!"

When further asked about the future of the lighting system and hydrogen fuel cell power for the motion picture industry, Saunders emphatically replied: "I think it's going to take it over! As more people understand that hydrogen fuel cell technology is readily available to them... they're going to be lining up at the door for it. No doubt about it!"
