Altergy’s SVP Mickey Oros Speaks at Wuhan University in China on the Advancements of Fuel Cell Technology

FOLSOM, CA, May 28, 2015 – Altergy, the leading producer of fuel cells for telecommunications backup power, is pleased to announce that Mickey Oros, Senior Vice President of Deployment and Field Services, spoke at a workshop this week at Wuhan University of Technology in China.  The main objective of the workshop entitled “Fuel Cell Backup Power for Telecommunication Base Stations” was to share information on the worldwide status of fuel cells for backup power primarily in the telecommunications industry and promote acceptance of fuel cell technologies for backup power.

“It’s an exciting time for fuel cell technology as it gains global acceptance,” says Oros. “Altergy has been working for years to develop products and services for the telecommunications industry that are affordable, reliable and sustainable as compared to the legacy backup power technology of lead-acid batteries and diesel generators.”

The event was organized by Wuhan University of Technology and co-sponsored by Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MOST) and the International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy (IPHE).
